The Positive Effects of Wolfberry Extract on the Prevention and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by memory loss, cognitive decline, and behavioral changes. As the global population ages, the prevalence of Alzheimer's is increasing, creating an urgent need for effective preventive and therapeutic strategies. In recent years, natural compounds have garnered significant attention for their potential role in combating this debilitating condition. Among these, wolfberry extract has emerged as a promising candidate.


Wolfberries, also known as goji berries (Lycium barbarum), are nutrient-dense fruits traditionally used in Chinese medicine. Wolfberry extract powder is rich in bioactive compounds such as polysaccharides, flavonoids, carotenoids, and vitamins, which contribute to their antioxidant and neuroprotective properties.
